BFGoodrich Tires is one of the most preferred tire companies by adventure seekers and thrill junkies. It launched the #BFGTrailsandTails sweepstakes on Oct. 7, 2021 that is designed to help people explore the outdoors with their pets.
During the pandemic, many workers got an opportunity to spend as much time as they could with their pets. They got to enjoy the unconditional love, and in return, BFGoodrich wants to help them repay their pets. This is by giving them a good time.
Starting October 7, the company is inviting everyone to share photos of themselves spending time with their pets while outdoors. While at it, people are encouraged to tag @BFGoodrichTires and include the hashtags #Sweepstakes and #BFGTrailsandTails.
Each participant whose photo qualifies for the sweepstakes will get an opportunity to win a set of BFGoodrich® Trail-Terrain T/A tires. This is in addition to a pass in more than 2,000 sites including the America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands.
“BFGoodrich tires are designed and built for adventurers by adventurers. Our products’ performance embodies that mission, and our brand continues to convey why the spirit of adventure is so important,” said Stephen Peters, BFGoodrich brand director. “Our pets were constant companions over the past year and a half; and BFGoodrich wants to encourage more time together exploring the great outdoors while celebrating the special bond between people and pets.”
The company has already come up with several tips for seasoned pet-lovers who are also adventurers. They include:
- Know your pet’s limits:
You’ve spent the most time with your pet. As such, you’re probably the only one that knows what activities would suit them best. If you’re unsure about this, consult a veterinarian before heading out.
- Pack accordingly:
Some of the items that BFGoodrich would like to remind participants to carry include:
- Waste bags, sturdy 6-foot leash, and collar with ID tag
- Portable water bowl, water supply, pet snacks, and food
- Pet-safe insect repellent and pet first-aid kit
- LED collar for night outdoor activities
- A backpack for your pet
- Don’t skimp on the water:
Lakes and streams can have waterborne pathogens that would be dangerous for your pet. It’s, therefore, important to carry enough water supply to keep your pet hydrated and to prevent overheating.
- Be aware of wildlife:
Having your pet wear a bear bell can let wildlife know that you’re in the area, hence, helping avoid unwanted encounters. If it’s the hunting season, put a reflective vest on your pet to enhance safety.
- Play by the rules:
If you visit a place that has leash laws and various rules about pets, respect them and adhere to all the local guidelines. The last thing you’d want is to get in trouble with the authorities while having fun.
As a way to support the trail, the new BFGoodrich® Trail-Terrain T/A® tire is available for buyers. It is designed to resist tearing and chipping when used on gravel roads. Its serrated shoulder design is optimized for soft-soil traction in light off-pavement situations with reduced road noise.
