BMW X1 Will Sport A New Set of Continental Tires

Continental Tire has just received approval to provide original equipment for the new BMW X1 that will be produced in Hanover, Germany. The company got authorization to supply the EcoContact 6 Q Continental tire in 3 sizes – 18, 19, and 20 inches.

The tire is built to optimize economical driving on all vehicles. It comes with a specialized rubber compound that minimizes energy absorption when the car is moving. This in turn reduces friction.

Rolling resistance is also kept at a minimum courtesy of an optimized tire tread. Additional benefits include exemplary handling and long service.

Continental Tire is also offering the WinterContact TS 860S at BMW car dealerships and tire dealers. The tire is designed to provide enhanced handling on both snow and dry roads.

For BMW drivers, there are plenty of Continental tires approved for the X1. For example, the ProContact GX, 225/55 R18 102H XL and ProContact GX, 245/45 R19 102H XL are available in the US.
