Continental Tire Launches Replacement Program for More Than 7,000 Tires

Continental Tire has launched a program that allows customers to exchange their tires globally. In a recent announcement, the company said the program is voluntary and will cater to more than 7,000 tires worldwide.

The service will be available in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, France, Germany, and Spain. About 745 tires sold through the replacement program are currently eligible in the German market. It’s good to note that the voluntary exchange program will not affect the UK market.

In other news, Continental Tire is recalling 2,937 tires in the Contact lineup in the US. These are tires that may experience sudden belt-edge separation or airl loss. They have an increased risk of losing the tread either fully or partially.

The Continental tires involved include the Continental 4X4 Contact, size 255/55R19 111V XL; the Continental Pure Contact LS, size: 215/60R16 95V; and the Continental Terrain Contact H/T, size: 255/55R20 107H.
