Nexen Tire Hosts Key Business Partners at the 2020 PURPLE SUMMIT Manchester

Nexen Tire announced last month that it had successfully hosted the 2020 PURPLE SUMMIT Manchester for its premier hospitality campaign. This was the fourth installment of the campaign and Nexen had invited more than 70 guests. The summit served as a platform for Nexen to strengthen and foster its relationship with its global business partners.

According to President and Asia Pacific Regional CEO, James (Hyun Hong) Lee, Nexen was proud to have hosted the event. It was held from February 8 to 11 at the home of Manchester City Football Club in Manchester, UK. Manchester City also happens to be one of Nexen’s key partners.

The PURPLE SUMMIT was first introduced in 2016. The goal was to simulate and strengthen Nexen’s major and strategic relationships from across the world. Lee said that the company would continue to deepen its business relationships with its partners and continue its dedication to its corporate vision.

The 2020 PURPLE SUMMIT marked the first corporate hospitality event since James (Hyun Jong) Lee was inaugurated. The event was spearheaded as an arena for Nexen Tire and partners to solidify their business relationships and develop new strategic partnerships.

Nexen Tire shared with the attendees its 2020 marketing campaign initiatives, business expansion plan and revealed its most recent product innovations. The tire manufacturer also reasserted its VISION 2025 initiative which will see it work towards becoming among the top 10 manufacturers by 2025. City Football Group also celebrated the strategic partnership that exists between Manchester City and Nexen Tire.

Programs that leverage on the Manchester City partnership were also showcased to strengthen relationships with Nexen’s business partners. Pep Guardiola, manager for Manchester City presented himself in front of the partners and welcomed them to the summit. The guests were then taken for a tour around the City Football Academy First Team building. This is where players prepare and train for matches.

Nexen Tire took things further by ushering its partners to a tour of the Etihad Stadium. This was followed by a football session, led by Shaun Wright-Phillips who is the former national team player. The session offered partners a first-hand experience of how Manchester City players train.

Manchester City and Nexen Tire have been partners since 2015. They strengthened this partnership in 2017 when the latter became the Oficial Sleeve Partner for Manchester City. They have since gained synergies together.
