Yokohama Tire to Supply ADVAN Racing Tires for Porsche Racing Series

Yokohama will launch a new Porsche racing series that will be held in Canada and the United States in 2021. Yokohama Tire will be the main supplier of ADVAN racing tires which will act as the control tires for the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America.

There will be two types of Yokohama tires supplied – the ADVAN A006 for wet tracks and the ADVAN A005 for dry tracks.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge North American is designed to be a one-make competition that will involve the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport and 911 generation GT3 Cup race cars. It will be an eight-event season that will have its inaugural event on the weekend of March 12-14. This will be at the Sebring International Raceway in Florida.

In recent years, Yokohama has also supported other motorsports events related to Porsche in North America. This includes providing control tires for the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA and the Porsche Pikes Peak Trophy. Both challenges were held by Yokohama in 2020.

The company’s choice for control tires showcases the high evaluation of its tire’s superior performance and YTC’s stable supply structure.
