Goodyear Adds 4 New Mastercraft Tires

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has added 4 new tires to its Mastercraft Courser portfolio. The new products include two new all-terrain tires – the Courser Trail and Trail HD – made for off-road conditions.

Both include the following features:

  • Raised black lettering on the sidewall
  • Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake designation on the Courser Trail
  • Dependable wet braking and handling for all-season performance
  • Stone Armor Rubs found in between tread blocks that prevent stone rock sticking and stone drilling
  • Small Noise Barrier Walls on the shoulder blocks that help reduce wind noise
  • Winter Biters Treads for improved braking and acceleration.

The two Mastercraft tires are available for wheel sizes 15 to 20 inches. The Mastercraft Courser Trail, in particular, is available in 28 P-metric sizes while the Courser Trail HD can be bought in 30 LT sizes.

Goodyear has also added two new all-season tires – the Mastercraft Courser Quest and Quest Plus. The former is designed for passenger cars and minivans while the latter is made for SUVs and pickups of all sizes.

Both include the following features:

  • Hydroplane resistance thanks to water evacuation grooves
  • Enhanced grip in wet and snowy conditions thanks to an enriched silica tread compound
  • Reliable handling when cornering and excellent traction due to an optimized tread profile
  • Noise Barrier Walls that provide a quiet ride and reduce wind noise
  • Reinforced internal construction for even treadwear across all tread blocks

Buyers can get the Courser Quest in 23 sizes and the Courser Quest Plus in 46 sizes. Both fit wheels ranging from size 15 inches to 22 inches.

“Mastercraft continues to serve a unique need within Goodyear’s multibrand portfolio,” says Michiel Kramer, general manager of consumer product marketing. “Tread life and enhanced all-season performance were important factors when designing our new Courser product lines, giving drivers the ability to handle whatever the day may bring, whether that’s driving off-road with the new Courser Trail or Trail HD, or going about your daily commute with the Courser Quest or Quest Plus.”
