Michelin recently partnered with Delta Air Lines and Best Defense Foundation to take 44 veterans to Normandy, France. Here, the veterans got to visit the site of the Allied invasion.
The trip began on May 31 with the participants travelling back on June 8. According to the president and CEO of Michelin North America, the site was significant in that it marked the beginning of the liberation of France and the end of WWII in Europe.
The company was humbled to visit the site with veterans from all military branches. They made it possible to celebrate freedom across Europe and the entire world. Michelin employees tagged along to provide care and support to the veterans.
The partnership between Michelin, Delta Air Lines, and Best Defense Foundation began in 2022 and will continue in 2024 to celebrate the 80th anniversary.
