The 2023 Great Philippine Overland Loop is scheduled to commence on Sept 24 and will run until Oct. 13, 2023. Nitto Tires Philippines recently announced its partnership and support for the event through its official supplier YHI Philippines Incorporated.
The tire manufacturer will be the official tire partner. The Great Philippine Overland Loop will have 20 4×4 off-road vehicles tackling an expedition 4,039 miles (6,500 km) long. The challenge will cut across 38 provinces in the Philippines. Six roll-on/roll-off (RORO) ship crossings are also part of the plan.
The main goal of the event is to showcase the beauty of each province, the different cultures, and to motivate international tourists to participate in overlanding activities in the Philippines. The event was organized by Mototesto Overland Equipment, which expressed its joy to be associated with Nitto Tires in a press statement.
The tire company makes a great supplier for its incredible off-roading lineup, including the Trail Grappler, Terra Grappler, and Ridge Grappler tires. Overlanding enthusiasts have a wide range of suitable options depending on the terrain ahead.
The production team will document the 20-day expedition and the footage will be available through a 4-part series on YouTube and a coffee table book. Local tourism departments will have access to it to help boost local tourism in all the towns.
