Continental Tire has been pumping more investment in North America to increase its market share. In a new development, the tire manufacturer recently appointed Shane Messner as the Head of Bicycle the Americas.
Messner has worked for more than 15 years in the tire industry as a sales and marketing representative. He has held several positions at Continental in the North American divisions.
While speaking about the appointment, Messner expressed his excitement as he prepared to lead one of the most iconic brands in the company’s retail and distribution network.
“Continental has invested heavily in maintaining their leadership in the road while also successfully launching a new gravity line in 2022. The company’s continual product development provides a strong portfolio that should continue to attract riders and retail support in the years to come,” he added.
“It’s an exciting time to partner with Continental Bicycle as we are launching our first comprehensive MAP policy in December and joining forces with QBP to enhance our service to retailers. Whether you are a road, gravel, or MTB-focused shop, we look forward to serving you and helping to grow the industry”.
According to Spiridon Spiridonou, the Head of Continental Bicycle, Messner has a proven track record in the North American region and the company is looking forward to working with him to develop the team and steer its ambitious development plans.
