Continental Tire Partners Up to Enhance Child Safety on Roads

Continental Tire recently partnered up with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to donate 500 high-quality car child seats that will be given to parents of newborns at Latifa Hospital in Dubai.

This is in line with the tire manufacturer’s ‘My Child’s National Day Initiative’ that seeks to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities witnessed on the roads. The partnership ran between 1st and 5th December.

It also coincided with one of Continental’s core values, ‘For One Another’ which is centered around developing a culture of safety and care. This is especially true when it comes to prioritizing the well-being of children on the road.

The RTA is well-known for advocating vehemently for advancing road safety measures. It takes advantage of annual and seasonal occasions to educate and empower people from diverse groups and communities on road safety.

On the other hand, UNICEF has been at the forefront of promoting child welfare all over the world. Its child protection and advocacy has pushed for the birth of a comprehensive approach towards ensuring road safety is upheld for children.

The car child seats donated are not only a kind gesture but a relief for the family’s safety on the road. Parents can have peace of mind knowing that children are secure when traveling. Continental looks forward to engaging in more activities that serve the community. This is while championing initiatives that uphold safety, the well-being of the community, and sustainability.
