Continental’s PremiumContact 7 Ranked Among Best in Germany

The recently published Auto Bild magazine in Germany released the latest results from tests carried out on tires. The Continental PremiumContact 7 tire was rated “Exemplary” against other 54 summer tires.

It was hailed for its remarkable performance on dry and wet roads, premium tread pattern, shortest dry and wet braking distances, and good mileage. The tire was tested on the VW Golf VIII in size 205/55 R 16.

On the other hand, the Uniroyal RainSport 5 by Continental’s alternative brand was given a “satisfactory” rating for good properties in wet weather. While being tested on the VW Golf, the PremiumContanct 7 was able to stop after 35 meters from a speed of 100km/h.

The worst-ranked tire achieved 42 meters. Continental tires were also able to achieve good braking scores on wet roads. There was a difference of 16 meters between the best and worst.

Buyers can get the PremiumContact 7 in size 16-21 in diameter and with widths ranging between 205 and 285 millimeters. The 205/55 R 16 is the most popular and fits SUVs, hybrids, and electric cars. It comes with an EV-compatible marque on the sidewall.
