Falken Motorsports won the NLS5 and NLS6 in 2023 and came in third in the NLS Speed Trophy. For 2024, the team has announced that it will be coming back to the Nürburgring 24 Hours and Langstrecken-Serie (NLS).
The vehicles of choice are the two legendary Porsche 911 GT3 R (992)s. According to the motorsport manager, the team is looking to use the experience it gained last year and get back on track as a Porsche customer team.
“We learnt a lot last year, picking up a trio of podiums, and we’re ready to fight at the sharp end once again,” said Stefanie Olbertz.
We do not yet know who the drivers will be for this season, as Falken is yet to release the names. However, customer teams will receive Falken tires this year thanks to a renewed partnership with the series.
The deal includes branding that will be placed on all the cars in the NLS field. This will also be shown on the live stream. The first outing will be at the Nordschleife Test scheduled for March 22-23.
The NLS1 and NLS2 will be the first races and will take place April 5-6. The ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers will follow shortly on April 13-14 for the NLS3 and NLS4. The 2024 calendar has also been released. It shows that the endurace races at the Nordschleife will be split into two due to conflict between AvD and VLN.
There will be six standard races taking place on five weekends and an annual meeting for the ADAC 24H Qualifiers before the Nürburgring 24 Hours.
