What Nexen Achieved in 2019 and its Plans for 2020

In November 2019, Nexen Tire Corp. released the Roadian GTX tire, a tire designed for SUVs and crossovers. The company also opened its North American Technology Center in Richfield, Ohio later that month. The grand opening marked the banner year for Nexen after having opened Nexen UniverCITY, a new Research and Development headquarters in Seoul, Korea.

Nexen also opened a new tire factory in the Czech Republic in August and a new technology center in Frankfurt, Germany in September. According to  Megan Wentz, the marketing manager, Nexen is ever looking for ways of improving its services for its customers. For 2020, the tire manufacturer will improve its associate dealer program dubbed Next Level.

It will introduce an in-person dealer training for its distribution networks across the U.S. This will be done through ‘Partner Days,’ hosting of regional events to express the company’s gratitude to its customers and through the launching of the new Roadian GTX CUV/SUV tire.

The Next Level associate dealer program is one of the major initiatives that Nexen wants to focus on this year. It now features an automated enrollment process that will help the company increase efficiency, accuracy, and upgraded dealer locator features. These will ensure that customers can find dealers with ease.

Once the customer finds the dealer, Nexen needs to ensure that the latter is readily equipped with program and product knowledge. To achieve this, the company will have ‘Partner Days’ where it will be traveling across the United States to train dealers and make sure that they understand how to operate the company’s online portal, the NexenACE.

The training sessions will also include getting dealers familiar with the Roadian GTX which was launched at the 2019 SEMA. The tire covers more than 90% of the market segment and will affirm dealers that they have the capability to meet customer demands.

Lastly, Nexen will be having regional events designed to give back to its dealers. The idea is to extend the relationship beyond business. The company believes that it is important for them to simply say thank you for the hard work the community has put in to ensure Nexen tires are a success.
