Unsung Heroes Awarded Free Tires By Michelin

Michelin North America Inc. plans to award 25 people located where there were significant company operations. The states include South Carolina, Indiana, and Alabama. These people are recognized as having gone above and beyond to be there for their communities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

All of them work as essential workers and have been keeping things moving. They also served as leaders when it comes to staying safely vigilant. Michelin is awarding each a new set of BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 or Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires, and a certificate of appreciation. The two tires were picked for their ability to allow essential workers to get anywhere they needed to be no matter the weather.

According to Matter Cabe, Michelin’s Brand Director, the 25 individuals looked beyond their own interests in trying to keep communities moving forward and safe. They are a good example of what it looks like to remain steadfast and strong in the fight against Covid-19. As winter approaches, the company would like to thank these people and enable them to keep up with their acts of service even in any weather.

The people recognized span different professions. They include firefighters, school custodians, non-profit volunteers, health professionals, and more. According to Michelin, they all had one thing in common – a desire to selflessly serve their communities.

The tire manufacturer is teaming up with five dealers to facilitate the awards. For them, they will supply the Michelin tires while local dealerships will carry out the installation. The local dealerships include:

  1. Welborn Tire Pros in Anderson, S.C.
  2. Jim Whaley Tires in Dothan, Ala.
  3. JacMac Tire Co. in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
  4. Bolton James Tire and Alignment in Spartanburg, S.C.
  5. Belle Tire in Ft. Wayne, Ind.

During the pandemic, Michelin has provided support to communities in different ways. The company has provided meals for health workers, donated money to community relief efforts, and given masks to hospitals. Its recognition of essential workers is a continuation of the company’s support and a way to encourage other members of the community to emulate these examples of safety vigilance.
