Cooper Tire & Rubber Company was recognized by Forbes as one of the best global employers in 2020. The tire manufacturer made it to the top 20%, ranking 143 out of 750 companies listed. It was among the top performers in the automotive industry. Forbes put it against six other tire manufacturers in the category. It prepared the ranking list based on employee ratings that were grounded on topics such as gender equality, talent development, COVID-19 response, economic footprint, and social responsibility.

According to the Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, Paula Whitesell, Cooper Tire has dedicated employees that focus on fulfilling the company’s purpose. Being ranked high among top employers underscores the company’s practices and culture, and also showcases how proud employees are being part of the team. The Forbes World’s Best Employers 2020 list had 750 large corporations and multinationals with headquarters in 45 countries. Forbes surveyed 160,000 part-time and full-time workers from 58 countries working for businesses that have operations in several regions and nations. Surveys lasted from June to July before the list was compiled.
