Hankook Promotes Executives to Strengthen North America Team

Hankook Tire recently promoted its executive members at its headquarters in Nashville, Tenn. The company named Curtis Brison the new president of Hankook Tire North America. He takes over from Sooil Lee who will remain CEO of Hankook Tire & Technology.

Robert Williams was promoted to senior vice president of Truck, Bus and Radial (TBR) sales. Jong Jin (JJ) is the new vice president of marketing. These new efforts underscore Hankook Tire’s commitment to pushing innovation and growth.

“The North American market is critical to our global business strategy, and Curtis, JJ and Rob have been instrumental to accelerating our growth,” said Sooil Lee, president and CEO, Hankook Tire & Technology.

“Curtis has proven his strength as a sales leader with a strong commitment to customer success. Rob has demonstrated success throughout the TBR sector. JJ has driven marketing strategies that have had a positive impact throughout the region. All are integral members of the team, who will be essential to navigating the years ahead for Hankook throughout North America.”

Brison will oversee the U.S. and Canada. He will be in charge of four departments and direct teams, and continue to lead the U.S. Passenger Car and Light Truck (PCLT) department. He served as vice president since 2020.
Brison has 15 years of experience working in the tire and automotive industry. He has been key in driving the expansion and introduction of new Hankook tiers in the U.S. including the All-Weather Kinergy 4S2, Dynapro AT2 Xtreme, and Dynapro XT.

Williams will be in charge of TBR sales, including OE and replacement sales. He will lead the TBR sales team and regional offices as senior vice president. He joined Hankook in 2019 as senior director of TBR sales.

He brought more than 30 years of experience in the tire industry and has a proven success record in sales and operations leadership, optimizing profitability, and strategic planning.

As the vice president of marketing, Park will be in charge of 5 teams, including the marketing strategy team, technical service team, TBR marketing team, operation team, America Regional Distribution Centers (RDC), and Canada sales subsidiary.

He has been the marketing director and U.S. sales innovation director and will continue to serve as so in the new role. He joined Hankook in 2005 and has worked across the United Kingdom and America regions. He will be succeeded in Nashville, Tenn. by Bartek Choi who will be the new U.S. sales innovation director.

Also, Yong Sup (Peter) Jung has relocated to the company’s Asia-Pacific division. He will work on expanding market growth and brand recognition. He has worked as COO for Hankook Tire America for the last 2 years. He will now operate from Jakarta, Indonesia.
