The Sepang 12 Hours is making a comeback. The event organizers have picked Hankook Tires as the official and only original equipment supplier.
After holding discussions and consultations, the stakeholders and teams agreed to host the event in 2023 over a period of 8 hours. According to Top Speed Owner and General Manager, Davide de Gobbi, many people are excited and happy to have Hankook as part of the return of the event.
The tire manufacturer knows what the teams need when tackling the race in South East Asia.
Sepang 12 Hours was a popular race in Asia before it was last held in 2016. It is one of the world’s hottest endurance race events and receives a lot of support.
Together with other forms of Asian motorsport, it suffered a blowback due to the pandemic. Everyone is now confident that the drivers and teams will make a great comeback and have a great experience with the tires.
The Vice President of Hankook was grateful for the support the company got from HK Motorsport, SIC, and Top Speed. The company plans to expand its contribution within the region.
