Ford Motor Company has recognized the Hankook Tire plant in Tennesee for prioritizing product quality, continuous improvement, service capabilities, and technological innovation. The car manufacturer awarded the company the “Quality is No. 1” (Q1) medal.
The medal represents the level of quality tire suppliers across the globe uphold when matching Ford’s quality and manufacturing rules.

“The innovation, quality, and continued improvement of our Tennessee Plant is key to delivering market-leading products to renowned automakers like Ford Motor Company. We’re proud to see the Tennessee Plant become the latest Hankook Tire facility to earn Ford’s prestigious Q1 medal and look forward to continued success in Clarksville.”
The company’s Tennessee plant supplies Hankook tires for the Ford Edge MKX, Ford Econoline, and Ford Explorer. The medal marks the latest milestone the two companies have achieved. The Hankook plants in Changqing and Jiangsu in China also received the medal in May 2023.
