Yokohama Sends Donations to Families in Hawaii

Yokohama Rubber which sells Yokohama tires in different parts of the world has sent its sympathies and condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the recent Hawaii wildfires.

Through its Yokohama Magokoro Fund, the company stated that it will donate ¥1 million ($6,767.27) in support of relief efforts. This will be done through the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Early last month, several wildfires were reported on the island of Maui which led to widespread damage. At least 115 people were killed and others evacuated. To date, 110 people are still missing.

Yokohama Rubber has joined other companies to help residents rebuild after the deadly tragedy. Efforts include cleaning up the affected area, rebuilding, and laying the necessary infrastructure.
