Hankook Tire recently launched a new system that helps improve the customer satisfaction and efficiency of its iON EV tires. According to the company, this new system will enhance research and development.
Previous tests have shown that iON products have helped increase tire durability by up to 15%. They have also improved driving stability by up to 10% and the equivalent of fuel efficiency by up to 6%. Road noise has also been reduced by 18%.
The new iON Innovative Technology system adds four main features to Hankook tires. These include the i Extreme Lightness (LRR), the i Perfect Grip (grip), the i Super Mileage (wear), and the i Sound Absorber (noise).
Hankook Tire has plans to improve customer satisfaction, especially in different areas by prioritizing dedicated tires and specialized EV technology that comes in iON. The entire system comprises 58 patented technologies, 9 of which are already used in iON tires. This includes the thick groove on the rubber’s surface that uses knurling technology to reduce noise.
