The new Cobra Instinct from Cooper Tire is a dedicated performance product designed for sports cars, muscle cars, and performance CUVs and SUVs. It utilizes an asymmetric tread pattern that improves grip and traction when driving on wet and snowy roads.
Cooper incorporated soybean oil to replace petroleum-based materials for its tread compound. This keeps it pliable and ensures there’s enough grip in cold regions. Additional sweeping tread grooves assist in evacuating water while the light carcass makes the tire more responsive.
According to the director of product marketing at Goodyear, this new Cooper tire is built to keep up with quick road decisions that are made on the road without sacrificing performance in wet conditions. You can get the Cobra Instinct in 25 sizes that fit 17-20-inch rim diameters.
Some vehicles that would benefit from this new product include the Ford Mustang, Lexus IS, and Chevrolet Camaro.
