Pirelli recently announced the Cinturato All Season SF3 tire. The tire is built for day-to-day driving in the city for compact and medium-sized vehicles. It is designed to offer the best braking control in harsh weather conditions and has already earned an A rating for its grip on wet surfaces in Europe.
It comes with wider grooves, a revamped directional tread pattern, 3D sipes, and adaptive tread technology that allows it to perform exemplary well on snow. This reduces the risk of aquaplaning while maintaining low noise levels.
The SF3 has been identified as the best in its class from DEKRA tests carried out in Germany. This is specifically related to braking performance in snow, wet, and dry conditions. The TÜV Süd certification body has also awarded this set of Pirelli tires the “Performance Mark” for handling different driving situations well.
Pirelli used virtual modeling throughout the design process to allow for parallel development of the tread pattern and compounds. The process also allowed Pirelli engineers to test stress distribution evenly throughout the tire.
Buyers can get the SF3 starting April 2024 for 16 to 20-inch wheel sizes. An Elect-marked option is also available for EVs and a specialized Scorpion lineup of SUVs.
