Yokohama ADVAN Sport EV Tires To Come as OEM in New Stelato S9

Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has announced that its ADVAN Sport EV tires are being used as the original equipment for the newly released Stelato S9, a premium electric vehicle developed through a collaboration between HUAWEI and the Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group). The Stelato S9, which hit the Chinese market in August 2024, comes fitted with 245/45R20 103V ADVAN Sport EV tires designed specifically for electric vehicles.

Innovative Features of Yokohama’s ADVAN Sport EV Tires

The ADVAN Sport EV tire has been crafted as a high-performance summer tire tailored for premium electric vehicles. Built upon the foundation of the ADVAN Sport V107, a tire designed for high-performance cars, the Sport EV model has been optimized to meet the unique demands of luxury EV owners.

Yokohama has employed a specialized compound proven to reduce rolling resistance, contributing to enhanced energy efficiency. The tires also feature SILENTFOAM, a proprietary polyurethane foam lining that minimizes cabin noise while driving. These enhancements, according to the company, promote lower electricity consumption and a quieter ride. The tire sidewall displays Yokohama’s “E+” mark, signifying its suitability for electric vehicles.

Enhancing the Driving Experience of the Stelato S9

The Stelato S9 is described as integrating cutting-edge technologies, including driver assistance systems and a luxurious, high-end interior equipped with a large central control screen. Its streamlined exterior design adds to its modern aesthetic appeal. Yokohama has stated that the ADVAN Sport EV tires contribute significantly to the vehicle’s performance by offering a quiet, smooth, and energy-efficient driving experience.

Yokohama’s Commitment to the EV Market

As part of its medium-term management strategy, Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026), Yokohama Rubber is concentrating on high-value tire production. The company is expanding the reach of its premium ADVAN and GEOLANDAR tire lines globally and aims to increase its supply of Yokohama tires for electric and new energy vehicles, particularly in China.
