Nexen Tire will supply its high-efficiency summer tire, the N’Blue S (215/65R16 102H), as original equipment for Kia’s new vehicle, the PV5. This decision shows Nexen’s commitment to improving tire technology for electric commercial mobility.
The Kia PV5 is built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It is designed for flexibility and can serve as a family car, camper, or business vehicle. Kia expects this model to be important in urban logistics and the changing mobility industry.
Nexen’s N’Blue S features Sidewall Aero Dynamic technology, which cuts down on noise and boosts efficiency to meet European standards for fuel economy and noise levels. The tire also has a simplified groove design that improves water drainage and wet traction. This ensures stability, braking performance, and durability for electric vehicles.
The company stressed that this supply shows its technical strength in a mobility market influenced by electrification and personalization. Nexen plans to keep building its partnerships with global automakers to help grow the electric vehicle ecosystem.
This agreement builds on Nexen’s existing work with Kia, providing original equipment Nexen tires for models like the EV3, EV4, EV6, and EV9, as well as key vehicles like the PV5 and Tasman.
