The NanoEnergy M171 all-position tire is Toyo Tire’s newest addition to its M-Line. The lineup boasts of a series of commercial tires that provide increased stability, fuel efficiency, and excellent wear life. This is thanks to better tread compounds developed by Toyo Tire using its Nano Balance Technology.
The M171 builds up on the M671 super-regional drive tire. Like the latter, it’s also Smartway Verified. The two tires are designed to provide superior traction, even wear within 500-mile radii operations, and exceptional fuel efficiency.
The M171 also comes with the E-balance design from Toyo Tire. The design helps to reduce strain at the belt and bead edges for enhanced longevity and stability under heavy loads. This also goes a long way in maintaining the tread profile of the tire.
The M171 also comes with an optimized wide tread pattern that creates even contact pressure between the tire and the road. This reduces irregular wire and extends its life.
According to Toyo Tire, the zig-zag center grooves, center sipes, and high elongation top belt help to ensure long and even wear that is essential in a steer tire. This adds maximum fuel efficiency thanks to a unform can-and-base compound that increases irregular wear resistance.
